The pretty spa town of Strathpeffer is close by and well worth a visit, especially in the summer months when the local pipe band often offers traditional entertainment.
Further afield, the Highlands are home to spectacular locations, and our holiday cottages are ideally situated to visit Skye, Plockton, Inverness and Loch Ness…to mention but a few!
Why not stay closer to home and explore the wonderful cycle paths, walking routes and wildlife that the area has in abundance, or spend a peaceful afternoon casting a line into the loch?

A bright and comfortable detached cottage set in an idyllic location, overlooking beautiful Loch Achilty, in the stunning Scottish Highlands.
There are three lovely bedrooms, one on the ground floor beside the bathroom, while the first floor master bedroom not only benefits from an en-suite shower room but also a Juliet balcony providing stunning views across the loch.

This well-equipped, detached Strathpeffer cottage stands on the shores of beautiful Loch Achilty, in the magical Scottish Highlands.
There are two comfortable bedrooms and a bright open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and doors leading out to the patio, an ideal place for a quiet read, or simply enjoying each other’s company whilst gazing across the water’s edge

Great setting right beside the loch. The kids spent hours swimming and playing in the loch and the grass area just outside the cottage. The owners were lovely and let us borrow their paddle board, bike and rowing boat. Would definitely go back again.

It was clean, comfortable and cozy for me, my two children and dog. The location by the loch cannot be underestimated, it truly is stunning. Mrs Rose is great. She made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was any trouble for her. If you’re looking for a peaceful break in a beautiful setting, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Within easy reach of Strathpeffer for shopping and cafes etc. It’s a very nice cottage, compact enough for someone with mobility limitations, but a spacious living room area.. The owner lives on site and was very friendly and helpful.

The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. The cottage is in a beautiful woodland setting on the shore of Loch Achilty, which is fantastic for boating and fishing. The owners of Stone Water Cottage gave us a proper highland welcome and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Would recommend Stone Water Cottage for a nice relaxing holiday and we will definitely be returning.
